Privacy at Visit Brandasund

Visit Brandasund aims to collect as little personal data as possible. This privacy statement explains what information may be processed when you use the website. Arne Kristoffer Aas is the data controller and can be contacted at arneaka@gmail.com.

What the website does now

The website is built with WordPress and operates as an independent, non-commercial information site. It has no contact form, newsletter, user registration, analytics, advertising or embedded third-party videos. The pages link to external services, but their content is loaded only when you choose to open the link.

Technical logs

The web hosting is provided by Domene AS, which acts as processor for the hosting service. The host may process technical log data such as IP address, time, requested page, browser type and error messages. The purpose is to deliver the website, troubleshoot and prevent misuse. Processing is based on the legitimate interest in operating and securing the website under Article 6(1)(f) of the General Data Protection Regulation. The information is stored for as long as necessary under the provider’s routines and any legal requirements, and is not used by Visit Brandasund for marketing or profiling.

Cookies

WordPress may set necessary cookies for logged-in administrators and technical sign-in. Ordinary visitors should not be tracked for marketing. If analytics, maps, video or other third-party services are later embedded, the privacy text and any consent solution must be updated before the feature is activated.

External links

The website links to maps, transport, weather, hiking websites, local businesses and videos. When you open such a link, the external service’s privacy rules apply. Visit Brandasund does not automatically send the content of those pages to your browser.
