Brandasund lies at the northern tip of Bømlo, about 20 kilometres from Svortland. You can arrive by car, motorcycle, bicycle, local bus or boat. The road crosses islands and bridges through open coastal scenery.
By car or motorcycle
Follow the roads north from Svortland through Urangsvåg and on towards Goddo and Brandasund. The road is narrow and hilly in places. Drive calmly, keep your distance and be considerate of oncoming traffic, cyclists, animals and local conditions.
Park only where permitted. Keep roads, turning areas, quays and access for local businesses clear.
By bus
Skyss operates a local bus between Svortland and Brandasund. Routes and departures may vary between weekdays, school periods and seasons. Use the journey planner on the day you travel.
By bicycle
The route from Svortland to Brandasund brings you close to the coastal landscape, but the road is narrow and hilly. Use lights and visible clothing, and plan time and breaks according to your fitness and the conditions.
