Photos and film as sources
Photos and film can show how Brandasund, working life and the coastal setting have changed. This page clearly distinguishes between the owner’s modern photos, historic material from collections and films hosted by external publishers.
Modern photos
The modern nature and landscape photos on Visit Brandasund come from the owner’s own collection and are approved for use on the website. They document Brandasund, Brandasundsåta, Slåtterøy Lighthouse, Utslåttøy, boating and coastal nature.
Historic photos
Historic photos are published only when the owner, photographer if known, date, subject, licence and credit requirements are documented. Material from museums and archives is not copied automatically simply because it is visible online.
Useful starting points are DigitaltMuseum’s record from Brandasund and historic maps from the Norwegian Mapping Authority. The licence must be checked for each individual item before use.
Videos about Brandasund
The following films were found and verified as accessible links on 2 September 2026. They are linked rather than embedded, so third-party content is not loaded automatically:
- Brandasund, en sørlandsidyll på Bømlo! (YouTube, Geir281) – an atmospheric and drone film published on YouTube in 2019.
- SommerNorge rundt fra Brandasund, Bømlo (YouTube, vie veier) – a film about the general store and a summer visit, published on YouTube in 2015.
The videos are hosted by their original channels. Visit Brandasund does not own the content and cannot guarantee that it will remain available.
NRK and other candidates
No securely identified NRK page with film from Brandasund has yet been found that can be linked or embedded. Other video candidates are not added until the publisher, title and availability have been verified.
